Description
When we were on Millennium, systems staff created an application that populated a database with uncollected fines and fees information. The application used this information to construct a monthly file to be sent to the campus Banner financial system.
When we migrated to Sierra, we had access to our own database for the first time. As a result, we didn't need the difficult process we had been using. We connected straight to the database to get the information we needed, resulting in a process that was more efficient, accurate, and user friendly for Systems and Circulation staff.
