  • I am working as a Research Assistant Professor at Aquaculture Program (UNCW-CMS) from May 2005. I spent about 8 years in the Lab of Aquatic Animal Nutrition, Kagoshima University, Japan and completed my Masters, Ph. D. and JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship (Major: Aquaculture Nutrition). I have completed executive MBA in May 2007 from the Cameron School of Business, UNCW sponsored by the MARBIONC┬« .

    Research Overview

  • My main research interest is development of environmentally sound, cost effective and nutritionally balanced diets for mariculture species. I have more than 30 peer reviewed publication related to aquaculture and aquaculture nutrition research. Specific research interests are: i.Dietary nutrient requirements for aquaculture of black sea bass, southern flounder and red porgy. ii.Relation between diet compositions and fish fillet quality. iii.Development of broodstock diets for high quality egg production of black sea bass and southern flounder. iv.Alternative protein sources studies and environmentally sounds feed development. v.Microdiet development for black sea bass, red porgy and flounder larvae. vi.Development of green/eco- diets for ornamental fish.
