  • A native of NC, I have studied and lived in both New England and the Midwest. My background is in geography, political geography, forest policy, and poetry. I have worked as a private land surveyor and as a reserve manager for the NC Coastal Reserve system, overseeing 5 sites in the southeastern part of the state. I also served as stewardship coordinator for the NC Coastal Reserve and NC National Estuarine Research Reserve, coordinating stewardship activities on all 10 sites in the system.

  • Teaching Overview

  • I'm very interested in helping students understand present environmental conditions as well as the means by which we can affect them.
