Overview

  • I am native to the state of Idaho where I earned my B.S. in Physical Education and Health, M.Ed. in Physical Activity Pedagogy, and Ph.D. in Physical Education all from the University of Idaho. My professional work experience includes teaching high school physical education and health, coaching high school athletics, and serving as the school district athletic director in eastern Montana.

    Teaching Overview

  • Develop preservice teacher cognitive and pedagogical knowledge bases, and necessary pedagogical content knowledge skills to be quality physical educators and lifelong advocates of physical activity and health.
    • Model effective and appropriate instructional strategies, teaching models, and curriculum development practices
    • Provide extensive practicum experiences for preservice teachers in K-12 schools
    • Initiate opportunities for students to promote and lead physical activity outside of physical education classrooms
