Research Overview

Rich’s research interests focus broadly on population health, social determinants of health, and health disparities among marginalized populations. He is especially interested in the LGBTQ+ population, specifically focused on aging matters for this group, such as social isolation and vulnerability for aging LGBTQ+ people due to lack of family support; mental and physical health disparities due to lack of competent, inclusive health care; and end-of-life planning.

Rich is interested in teaching courses in health administration, including operations, quality and performance improvement, statistics and research methods.
