Research Overview

  • Dr. Ebrahimi specifically interested in the following two projects serving the underrepresented population; i) assisting people with mental and physical disabilities to explore new ways of coping with a fast-pacing environment and ii) introducing new emerging technologies to overcome the lack of resources in the educational system. The current digital age that we are experiencing has a high potential for helping people. In those eight years, she has designed, implemented, and tested several virtual reality systems collaborating with a wide range of expertise from psychology, gerontology, athletic training, data science, and graphic design. Her past experiences were mainly focused on understanding how human depth perception alters in virtual reality as well as characterizing the human movement in virtual reality simulations.
  • Teaching Overview

  • Dr. Ebrahimi is interested teaching introductory courses to computer science and also high level courses such as computer gaming, virtual reality, human-computer interaction.
