Research Overview

  • My research interests broadly encompass bacterial motility and pathogenesis. With regard to motility I am focused on elucidating the mechanisms of gliding motility in Flavobacterium johnsoniae. Additionally, I study the virulence mechanisms of the Lyme disease spirochete, Borrelia burgdorferi and the fish pathogen Flavobacterium psychrophilum
